Attention ATV Club and Veterans - The Warriors Ride: on Veterans Day

November 11, 2022 - Saturday Warriors Ride. (Veterans Day) ATV Club hosted ride for veterans meeting at 9:00 AM at Hamblin Park. Ride leaving from Kanab Hamblin park at 9:00 AM. Ride the Hog Canyon trail from Kanab to the Communications towers for a lunch. Then return to Kanab back to Hamblin Park for a presentation to the Kanab American Legion post.
ATV Club members should recruit a veteran to ride along, (or veteran club members) and provide a lunch and beverage for each veteran. Consider mounting old glory to our OHV’s to show respect to our veterans for their service.
Please let the club know with a response email your intention to participate in this event by November 1, 2022.
Veterans Day is a United States federal holiday that honors all military veterans who have served in the U.S. military and is observed annually on November 11. The Day coincides with Remembrance Day and Armistice Day which marks the anniversary of the end of World War I 

Do not forget that the Kanab American Legion is hosting a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Kanab Cemetery.


Purpose of the annual Utah/Arizona Veterans recognition program


VISION:
To foster the recognition of US Military Veterans on Veterans Day.

PURPOSE:
• To raise awareness and enlist the public’s attention to our military veterans and active service members.
• To honor all US Veterans including active or disabled veterans through our “Warriors Ride”.
• To provide unique, direct recognition and experience the scenic beauty of Kane County, to US Veterans who would otherwise not have the opportunity or ability to visit there locations or vistas.
